Catholics are invited to special services with Bishop Martin Amos in all six deaneries of the Diocese of Davenport during the Year of Faith, which began Oct. 11, 2012 and ends Nov. 24, 2013.
A schedule of celebrations follows:
• Grinnell Deanery: Vespers service Sunday, June 23, at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Newton. Bishop Amos will offer a presentation afterwards, followed by refreshments.
• Keokuk Deanery: Mass with Bishop Amos and deanery priests on Saturday, July 20, at 5 p.m. in Burlington Memorial Auditorium. A picnic will take place after the liturgy. (Regular Saturday evening Masses in the deanery are cancelled on this date).
• Davenport Deanery: Sept. 22
• Ottumwa Deanery: Oct. 26
• Clinton Deanery: Nov. 21
