DAVENPORT — May 6 was a day of two milestones in Sheri Steele’s life. It was her 50th birthday and the day she became a member of the Catholic Church.
A resident of Good Samaritan since last summer, Sheri said she attended services of different denominations to see what was most comfortable for her. She had been Baptist, but hadn’t been to church in a long time.
When she moved to Iowa and entered Good Samaritan as a resident, she felt it was time to find a faith home. “I attended the Communion services and Mass a few times and decided I wanted to learn more (about the Catholic faith).”
