DAVENPORT — Two donations from My Father’s House, Inc. are benefiting the Vocations Department of the Davenport Diocese and helping to refurbish some retired priests’ apartments.
My Father’s House, a nonprofit organization, was established by the late Father Thomas McConville, who wanted a retirement home for priests near Oskaloosa to help serve the west end of the diocese, said Marvin Feist, the organization’s treasurer.
Fr. McConville acquired the first donation of property. Over time, additional property was donated.
