Educating children about their part in the Catholic Church’s missionary work is what the Missionary Childhood Association, formerly Holy Childhood Association, is all about.
Educational programs are available for students in Catholic schools and religious education programs throughout the United States. Funds are raised by students to benefit the association’s work worldwide.
Two schools in the Diocese of Davenport have already raised funds for the newly named Missionary Childhood Association.
St. Joseph Catholic School in DeWitt raised $1,401.20 during Catholic Schools Week and Seton Catholic School in Ottumwa raised $187.64 last fall, principals of the two schools said.
