To the Editor:
The Sept. 6 article written by Patricia Zapor for Catholic News Service takes a very liberal view on having to have an ID for voting.
When my husband and I went to the doctor in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday there was a notice taped to the front desk. It was a federal mandate that the patient must show an ID before being treated. I hear no outcry about this! If an ID is needed for a medical checkup, why shouldn’t an ID be needed to vote?
