Davenport — People are invited to the “Life in the Spirit” seminar at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. through Aug. 23. This seminar will be presented by members of the Blessed Trinity Prayer Group consisting of parishioners from Bet­ten­dorf and Davenport parishes. Fee is $10. Davenport —  A healing Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral Friday, July 20. Confessions start at 6 p.m., praise music at 6:40 p.m. and Mass at 7:15 p.m.

MEETINGS
Iowa City — The Diocese of Davenport’s Justice and Peace Advocacy Team will meet Wednesday, July 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of St. Patrick Church. All are welcome. For more information, call the diocesan social action office at (563) 324-1911.
RETREATS
Wheatland — Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat will offer private or directed retreats Sunday through Friday beginning July 22 at 7 p.m. to Friday at noon. SOCIALS
Clinton — The Clinton Knights of Columbus will hold its annual “Corn Boil” on July 22 from 3:30-7 p.m. at St. Boniface Hall. Menu includes pulled pork sandwich, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, all-youcan-eat sweet corn, potato chips, apple sauce and lemonade. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 10 and younger. Carryouts available. The Ladies Auxiliary will also have a bake sale. All are welcome.
Davenport – Quad Cities Interfaith welcomes people to a Taco Night Fundraiser at Azteca, 4811 N. Brady St. (Walnut Center) from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17. Cost is $10 per person for a buffet dinner. Drinks not included. For tickets, call (563) 322-4910.
Davenport – The 2012 Assumption Booster Club Golf Outing will take place Friday, Aug. 3, at Emeis Golf Course with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost of $85 per golfer includes four-person scramble, 18 holes with cart, beverage tickets, skins game, hole-in-one prizes, hole pin events and a steak dinner at Rookies sports bar. Davenport – The Assumption High School class of 1967 will hold a reunion Aug. 3-4. An informal gathering will take place Aug. 3 at Circle Tap on the patio at 6 p.m. On Aug. 4, there will be a dinner, social gathering and DJ at the Knights of Columbus Club House. Cocktails are at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
Iowa City – Catholic young adults are invited to St. Patrick Church July 15 for a barbecue, the kickoff event of the Davenport Diocese’s new Catholic Young Adult Network. The afternoon will start with Mass at 3:30 p.m., followed by games, then a cookout at 5 p.m. Bring a side dish to share. During the gathering, CYAN leaders will share future plans and seek ideas. Iowa City — The Knights of Columbus at St. Patrick Church will be collecting 5 cent redemption cans and bottles the third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon. The collection will take place at the west side of St. Patrick Church near the entrance to the Day Chapel. No need to sort cans.  Proceeds benefit “Right to Life” organizations in Johnson County.
