Albia – A Faithful Citizenship and Religious Freedom seminar will take place Tuesday, July 10, from 7-8 p.m. at St. Mary Church, 730 Benton Ave. W. Presenter will be Tom Chapman, executive director, Iowa Catholic Conference. Attendees will learn what the Church is encouraging Catholics to do in political involvement, the current situation with religious freedom in the United States and more about “Political Responsibility Do’s and Don’ts for Churches.”
Davenport — People are invited to the “Life in the Spirit” seminar at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. from July 5 to Aug. 23. This seminar will be presented by members of the Blessed Trinity Prayer Group consisting of parishioners from Bettendorf and Davenport parishes. Fee is $10. Babysitting will be provided. Davenport — Sacred Heart Cathedral is celebrating Saturday night Mass at 5 p.m. through Sept. 1. The sacrament of reconciliation will be offered an hour before, at 4 p.m. During the fall and winter months, Saturday night Mass will be held at 4 p.m.

Melrose — The Knights of Columbus of Albia sponsor a 24-hour adoration the first Friday of the month at St. Patrick Church in Melrose.
