Bishop, deliver input to Rome

To the Editor:
The Deanery Diocesan Planning meeting with Bishop Martin Amos in Mount Pleasant was about nine months ago. The forum was one of spirited discussion of the flock’s concern and enthusiasm regarding the Church. The people raised questions and reports were given. I heard the people express allowing women to become ordained priests and allowing married clergy in the Catholic Church.
I am glad to read the (Feb. 16) article in the Messenger that Bishop Amos and Msgr. John Hyland will be traveling to Rome about the condition of the Davenport Diocese. Please deliver our input as well as the rest of the diocese to the threshold of the apostles. We look forward to their response.
