Davenport – The next healing Mass will be Friday, Feb. 17, at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 7:15 p.m.

Davenport — A Soaking With a Purpose Prayer meeting will take place Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at Eagles’ Wings.

Keokuk – Author and homilist Father Tom Allender will lead Church of All Saints’ parish mission, “Life’s Journey,” Saturday, Feb. 18 to Thursday, Feb. 23 at 310 S. Ninth St. Fr. Allender will serve as celebrant and homilist for Masses at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 18 and 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Feb. 19. He also will celebrate Mass and speak at 9 a.m. Feb. 20, 21 and 23. MEETINGS

Hills — All are welcome to a Craft Club meeting Feb. 19 from 1-3 p.m. in the basement. of St. Joseph Church. Participants will help sew children’s clothes for Haiti and other items for people in need. For more information, call (319) 679-2271.

Clinton – Prince of Peace Parish will hold Christian Experience Weekends Feb. 17-19 for women and March 2-4 for men at Prince of Peace Catholic School. Fee is $35. Wheatland —  Two events are slated at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat.  A Lenten “Come to the Quiet” will take place Feb. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fee is $20. Clinton – St. Edwards Council of the Knights of Columbus will hold fish fries at St. Boniface Hall from 4:30-7 p.m. for six Fridays, Feb. 24 to March 30. Cost is $9 for seven jumbo shrimp, $8 for adults, $4 for children 3-12 and free for children younger than 3. Carry-outs will be available by calling (563) 242-0902.

Coralville —  St. Thomas More Parish’s Lenten soup supper will take place Wednesday, Feb. 22, following evening Mass. Freewill donations accepted.

Fort Madison – Holy Family Parish’s first Mardi Gras celebration will be held at McAleer Hall on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 5-11 p.m. The fundraiser includes dinner, casino games, music, a photo booth, silent auction and king’s cake raffle. Iowa City – St. Patrick Parish’s youth ministry will hold a Mardi Gras pancake breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the social hall. Cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. Proceeds will fund youth activities.

LeClaire – Knights of Columbus will hold an Ash Wednesday fish fry Feb. 22 immediately following the 6 p.m. Mass at Our Lady the River Church. Cost is $9 per adult and $4 for children ages 10 and younger. Carry-outs are available.

Lone Tree – St. Mary parishes of Lone Tree and Nichols will host a joint pancake breakfast March 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lone Tree American Legion. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and younger.

Mount Pleasant – St. Alphonsus Church  invites people to the Altar & Rosary Society annual dinner on Sunday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Manning Hall. Tickets will be sold at the door and cost $8 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 4-10 and free for children 3 and younger.

Oxford – Youths from St. Mary Parish in Oxford and St. Peter Parish in Cosgrove will present a Mardi Gras celebration Saturday, Feb. 18 at St. Mary Parish Hall. Mass will be celebrated at the hall at 4 p.m. Dinner is from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $7 for students in grades seven to 12, $5 for kindergarteners to sixth-graders, and free for children younger than 4. There also will be a euchre tournament, children’s games and a raffle for cash prizes.

Preston – The Altar & Rosary Society of Ss. Mary & Joseph Parish in Sugar Creek will hold an omelet and pancake breakfast Feb. 26 from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Preston Town Hall.  There also will be a bake sale and silent auction.

Toronto —  St. James Parish will hold a breakfast at the Toronto fire station from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 19. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 and younger and free for preschoolers.

Washington – The first St. James Parish celebrity soup cook-off will take place Feb. 25 in Tobin Hall after 5:30 p.m. Mass. Proceeds will support the charity Mary’s Meals.

West Liberty — St. Joseph’s Knights of Columbus will hold fish fries at St. Joseph’s Parish Life Center on Feb. 17 and March 2, 16 and 30 from 5-7:30 p.m. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $4.50 for people younger than 13.
