I write to express my appreciation for Father Richard McBrien’s work and devotion to his Church. Fr. McBrien has used his gifts as priest, scholar and teacher to serve us for many years.
May we appreciate the diversity of “prophets” within our Church and realize that we are in the Church as searchers. We can be content but I, for one, distrust feeling that I know the answers.
Thanks to The Catholic Messenger for providing Fr. McBrien’s column. May God bless us all with love for one another, strength in our faith and guidance in our journey.
