Fr. Barron, not Fr. McBrien, lights fire for faith

Kudos, for giving us all a break from Father Richard McBrien and allowing us to read the rich writings of Father Robert Barron.

I am presently in the middle of watching the Catholicism Project that Fr. Barron has created and I cannot get enough of the man’s insight to our faith.  We gather in groups and discuss for hours his teachings. I would hazard a guess that Fr. McBrien does not generate the sort of fellowship, stewardship and new membership to the Catholic faith that Fr. Barron does. As a Catholic publication, the Messenger does NOT need to give equal time to the dissidents of our faith.

Why do you think subscribing to the CM has become “required” in our parishes? Try lighting a different fire under your readers, one that ignites and inspires desire for our faith and not one that gives people an excuse to leave.
