Clinton — Mayor Rodger Holm has proclaimed Oct. 24, 2011, UN Day in Clinton. Clinton — A pilot post-CEW retreat called “Spirit Alive: A Charism Experience Weekend” will take place Nov. 11-12 at Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace Church. The retreat is for people who want to discover their unique spiritual gifts. Davenport — Kahl Home for the Aged and Infirm will host its annual autumn bazaar from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 21. The event includes a taco bar, baked goods, crafts, bazaar items and white elephant articles. The Kahl Home is at 1101 W. Ninth St.
Fort Madison — Holy Trinity Catholic Schools’ God’s Portion Day will take place Oct. 22-23 at the junior/senior high school. Events begin Oct. 22 with dinner at 5 p.m., followed by auctions. On Oct. 23, breakfast will be served from 8-10 a.m. The day will include a baked goods room, country store, knick-knack room, spirit booth, auctions, lunch and dinner, student presentations, a kids’ zone and raffle.
Iowa City – The St. Patrick Parish Needle-workers’ bazaar will take place Saturday, Oct. 29, from 3-6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 30, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will include a quilt raffle, bake sale and more.
Keokuk — Church of All Saints’ fall bazaar and festival will be Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bazaar items: antiques, heirlooms and collectibles, baked goods, candy, religious goods, crafts, Christmas items and more. A turkey/

Knoxville — St. Anthony Parish’s fall dinner will take place Nov. 6 from noon to 2 p.m. Dinner includes turkey, ham, dressing, potatoes and gravy, vegetables, salads, rolls and homemade pie. Cost is adults: $8, children ages 5-10, $4; children under 5, free.
Melcher – Sacred Heart Parish will hold its fall dinner Sunday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-10 and free for children 4 and younger.
Nichols — St. Mary Parish hosts its annual auction and chicken noodle luncheon on Sunday, Nov. 6 at St. Mary’s parish hall in Nichols. Silent auction is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Regular auction follows. Luncheon includes homemade chicken and noodles served with mashed potatoes, soup and sandwiches, homemade desserts and more.
Richmond – Holy Trinity Parish’s pork loin and beef dinner will take place Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children ages 5-10. The day will include a country store, raffle and silent auction.
Rock Island, Ill. – To celebrate 10 years in the Quad Cities, the Benedictine Sisters of St. Mary Monastery will host an open house Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2-4 p.m. at 2200 88th Ave. W. Coralville – “Life is a Kaleidoscope: Change Your Pattern, Change Your Life” will be presented Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. at St. Thomas More Church. The event will be an interactive presentation on accountability and is designed to assist others in building communication skills and relationships by understanding the power of language and actions.
