Sister Elizabeth Sullivan, BVM

DUBUQUE — Former educator Sister Elizabeth Sullivan, (Timothy Mary), BVM, died Sept. 12 at Marian Hall in Dubuque. She was 71.

She was born in Chicago and entered the Sisters of Charity, BVM, congregation on Aug. 2, 1958, from St. Celestine Parish in Chicago. She professed first vows on Feb. 2, 1961, and final vows on July 16, 1966.

In the Diocese of Davenport, Sr. Sullivan taught at St. Mary in Iowa City from 1963-67 and at St. Paul the Apostle  in Davenport from 1968-69. She also taught and/or was principal in Tennessee, New York, California, Nevada and Arizona. She also was an office manager at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Ariz.

Visitation and her funeral were to be held Sept. 14 at Marian Hall Chapel in Dubuque. Burial was to be at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
