GEORGETOWN — St. Patrick Parish will hold its annual God’s Portion Day event Sept. 3-4. On Saturday, Sept. 3, the first Georgetown Open Golf Tournament will take place at 10 a.m. at the Albia Country Club. Call (641) 777-9687 to pre-register by Sept. 1.
On Sunday, Sept. 4, Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church at 10 a.m. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 11:30 a.m., a country store will open and kids’ games will begin. A silent auction will take place from noon to 4 p.m. A live auction on the south lawn will start at 1:30 p.m. Sandwiches and beverages will be served during a lawn social beginning at 4 p.m.
The day also will feature souvenirs, a raffle, and Irish and religious items.
