This message is being sent regarding the article on page one of the June 30, 2011, edition of The Catholic Messenger.
The article is entitled: “Same-sex marriage undermines families.” I realize you have to print such articles. However, my objection is to putting it directly on the front page. More positive and enlightening articles would have been better appreciated in that spot.
For example, with so many traveling to Rome these days, why not put the “Matisse designs at Vatican Museums” story there? It is of much more interest. Or the story “Quake aid boosted for two Japanese dioceses” would have been a choice for more appeal.
Thank you for your good reports on religious vocations and the story about the Humility of Mary Convent in Davenport. I appreciate your newspaper.
