DAVENPORT — The St. Patrick Society, QCA, will host its annual Gathering of the Clan Luncheon on Friday, March 11, at the Col Ballroom, 1012 W. Fourth St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Corned beef and cabbage or fish fillets will be served at noon. To purchase tickets, contact Kathleen Eshelman at (563) 324-2524. At the event, the Irish Mother of the Year, Grand Marshal and $1,000 scholarship winner will be introduced.
Grand Parade XXVI will take place on Saturday, March 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Fourth Avenue and 23rd Street in Rock Island, Ill. The parade travels through downtown Rock Island, across the Mississippi River via the Centennial Bridge, and proceeds through downtown Davenport, to Second and Harrison streets. A special Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in downtown Rock Island.
The Post-Parade Bash will be at the Col Ballroom in Davenport from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. At the Bash, there will be entertainment, food, and parade trophies will be awarded. The Beggermen will be performing. Admission is $15, and includes membership in the St. Patrick Society, QCA. Concessions are not included in the entrance fee. Kids 15 years and younger are admitted free.
