You can make a difference.
You could include your parish, Catholic school and the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Davenport in your planning and make a difference for years to come.
You can fund seminarian education, deacon formation, Catholic education, and so much more. You might be in a position to set up a charitable remainder trust, a life estate contract or maybe a charitable lead trust. The tax law of 2010 may have changed your tax implications.
Ask yourself what interests you the most. Where would you like to make a difference? You have spent a lifetime accumulating your assets. You may think it isn’t much, but you might be surprised. Take time to plan how your assets will be disposed of at your death. You will want to take care of family members and those important to you. You’ve given to charities over your lifetime; you’ll want to remember them at your death.
