Guillermo Trevino, a Diocese of Davenport seminarian, received the Ministry of Reader on Jan. 19 in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at University of Saint Mary of the Lake Mundelein Seminary, Mundelein, Ill.
He was among 36 seminarians installed in the Ministry of Reader by Bishop Thad Jakubowski, auxiliary bishop emeritus of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The bishop presented each seminarian with the Bible and said, “Take this book of holy Scripture and be faithful in handing on the word of God, so that it may grow strong in the hearts of his people,” Trevino said.
