Helen M. Hale, 90, a resident of East Moline, formerly of Davenport, died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Forest Hill Health and Rehab Center, East Moline, after a brief illness.

Private family services were Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Helen M. Heider was born March 29, 1920 in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Anthony and Gertrude (Rosenfield) Heider.  She graduated from Rock Island High School.

Helen was united in marriage to William “George” Hale, August 20. 1949.  He preceded her in death April 10, 1987.

Helen was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport, Legion of Mary and an early member of the Catholic Charismatics.  

Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Bill M. and Connie Hale, Davenport; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother John A. Heider.
