St. Joseph Parish in Columbus Junction and Ss. Mary & Mathias Parish in Muscatine will celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe Dec. 12. Schedule for St. Joseph Parish follows:
• 6:30-7:30 a.m. — Mananitas (songs to greet the Blessed Virgin)
• 7:45 a.m. — Coffee, hot chocolate, bread to be served in a couple of downtown stores
• 8:15 a.m. — Procession from downtown to the Columbus Community school
• 9:30 a.m. — Bilingual Mass in school gym
• 11 a.m. — Reception, with performance by “Beat for Peace,” a student group
Ss. Mary & Mathias:
• Noon — Spanish Mass in Saints Mary and Mathias Catholic School gym
• 1 p.m. — Reception
