GRINNELL — More than 100 nativities will be on display Thursday, Dec. 2, from noon to 8 p.m. in the church basement of St. Mary Parish. Also, from 5:30-8 p.m. local choirs will perform, and a live nativity will be on display. Participants may register for four nativities that will be given away at 8 p.m.
Titled “No Room at the Inn,” the event is a fundraiser for St. Joseph’s homeless shelter for families in Des Moines, Poweshiek County Food Pantry and the Grinnell Ministerial Association for use with local transient/homeless services. St. Mary Parish and Grinnell Ministerial Association are sponsoring the event.
