I don’t even know where to begin on Mr. Wessling’s editorial, “Obviously Christian, right?” (Sept. 16).
In October 2008, Barack Obama opposed the “Born Alive” legislation in Illinois that would have protected infants born alive during botched abortions. In March 2009, President Barak Obama issued an executive order overturning then-President George Bush’s 2001 order that federal funding be halted for embryonic stem cell lines other than those already in existence. There are many more examples, but there isn’t enough room in 300 words. Needless to say, President Obama’s record on pro-life issues is abominable.
Mr. Wessling says “But isn’t it obvious that Obama is a Christian, and one who takes Jesus more seriously as a guide than a lot of us who show up regularly in church?”
Apparently feigning niceties to political adversaries is more important than infanticide and abortion.
