Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC), in partnership with our diocesan communications office, has been our voice in the media: educating, entertaining, inspiring and informing the public about Gospel values. The CCC plays an important role in our society and merits our continued support. The CCC keeps us connected to our faith — no matter where we are — through all the communications media we use every day. It also touches, heals and sustains the faith of viewers and listeners across our nation.
I thank you in advance for your generous contribution to the Catholic Communication Campaign on June 12-13. CCC provides faith-centered television and radio programming, Catholic news, helpful marriage and family resources, audio versions of the daily Scripture readings and so much more. To learn more about the CCC, I invite you to visit the CCC website (www.usccb.org/nationalcollections).
In addition to the national projects, the CCC also addresses the communications needs of our local faith community. Fifty percent of your donations to the CCC collection stay in our diocese where we see the tremendous benefit served through The Catholic Messenger and through the diocesan website (www.davenportdiocese.org). The Messenger and the diocesan website provide the opportunity for me to communicate directly with you.
The Catholic Communication Campaign’s message is clear that communication through the media enriches family life. Again, I thank you for your past support and urge you to share this important message with all who seek Christ.
Sincerely in Christ,
Most Rev. Martin Amos
Bishop of Davenport
