Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Betty J. Ryan, 88, a resident of Bettendorf, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Davenport. Her family will greet friends at church prior to the service from 9:30a.m. until service time at 10:30a.m. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Mrs. Ryan passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at her residence in Bettendorf.
Betty Jane Gay was born Sept. 9, 1921 in Davenport, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Kuehl) Gay. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Gladys Gay.
She was united in marriage to Daniel W. Ryan April 19, 1947. They celebrated over 51 years together. He preceded her in death, Sept. 16, 1998.
Survivors include her son, Daniel and his wife Leta Ryan, Washington, Ill.; granddaughters, Carrie Peterson, and Jennifer Nunamaker, and great-granddaughters Rachel and Becca Peterson; her sister, Doris Crane Carlsbad, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the MS Society.
