Sr. Angela Donovan, OP, to mark jubilee

SINSINAWA, Wis. — Sister Angela Donovan, OP, a former teacher and chaplain, will celebrate her 60th jubilee this June.

A Mass will be held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa Mound on Sunday, June 6, for her and 25 other Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters celebrating 60 years.

A native of Chicago, she ministered as a chaplain at Mercy Hospital in Clinton from 1987-95. Outside the Diocese of Davenport she taught or was a principal at schools in Wisconsin and Illinois. She also ministered in Minnesota, New Jersey, Louisiana and Arizona.

Sr. Donovan served as the Prioress of Trinity Convent, River Forest, 1998-2002, and Divine Providence Convent, Des Plaines, 2002-04. Sister Angela ministered as a tutor at the Learning Center, Lawndale, 2005-06.
