Sister Charmaine LeMaire, BVM, 84, who served in the Diocese of Davenport, died Feb. 27 at Marian Hall in Dubuque.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dubuque.
Sr. LeMaire was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Blue Island, Ill. She entered the BVM congregation Sept. 8, 1945. She professed first vows March 19, 1948, and final vows Aug. 15, 1953.
In the Davenport Diocese, Sr. LeMaire taught ninth grade at St. Mary School in Clinton from 1952-56 and from 1958-59.
She served as a teacher, counselor, volunteer and tutor for many years in Cedar Rapids. She also taught in Rock Island, Ill., and Chicago.
