Funeral services celebrating the life of Paul R. Bolster, 55, of Clarkton, N.C., formerly of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. Bolster passed away unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack on Jan. 2, 2010 in Clarkton while preparing to go hunting, one of his favorite activities.

Paul Richard Bolster was born Oct. 14, 1954, in Davenport, a son of Theodore and Lois (Beckman) Bolster. He was united in marriage to Kathy Lensch in 1984 in Bettendorf. She survives him.

Paul was a machinist for the former Eagle Signal and now Danaher Control before being transferred to North Carolina.

An avid outdoorsman, Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

In addition to his wife Kathy, survivors include his daughter Shanna Bolster, Milan, IL; mother Lois Bolster, Davenport; sisters Karen Anderson, Bettendorf, Linda Jo Bolster, and Marcia Hensley, both of Davenport; brothers and sisters in law Gary Bolster, Elgin, Texas, Mark (Kristi) Bolster, Fall City, Wash., Scott (Jody) Bolster, LeClaire, Iowa, Ted Bolster, Fall City; father and mother in law Keith and Norma Lensch, Bettendorf; sister in law Wendy (Gary) Hughes, Rock Island, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his father.
