This is the time for resolutions. Maybe the one resolution we should make is to stop lying to ourselves and always seek the truth.
There is a quote from the Bible that says: “If we say we know God and we do not obey his commands, we are liars and there is no truth in us.” (1 John 2:4)
One of the lies today is that it is OK to kill the child in the womb. We even have laws that say it is OK. This is a direct violation of the commandment “Thou shalt not kill.” And there are those who kill in the name of religion. Many are silent about that and this is a good example of how one can sin by silence. The silence is a lie!
Another lie is the separation of church and state. This is impossible as we should carry Jesus and his holy love in our hearts all the time. Should I leave my heart and love at home when I go to work?
Yes, lies abound today. All they will bring are more lies and eventually death to our country. Seek the truth and the truth will make you free. Avoid verbal and silent lies. With this we will improve our country and will be pleasing to God.
