Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Jayne A. Scheppler, 84, a resident of Bettendorf, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4097 18th St., Bettendorf. 

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Scheppler died on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, West campus, Davenport.

Jayne Linhardt was born Jan. 28, 1925 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the daughter of Dr. O.V. and Gertrude (Beall) Linhardt.

 She was united in marriage to Robert H. Scheppler on Nov. 27, 1943. They were blessed with over 63 years of marriage.  In later years Jayne was a office secretary for Dr. Lois Hokanson retiring in 1986.Memorials are suggested to either St. John Vianney Catholic Church or Genesis Hospice

Survivors to honor her memory include a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Ralph Glaser, Chesterfield, Mo., a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Heather Scheppler, Huntsville, Ala.; and grandchildren, Melissa Reidelberger and Robert L. Scheppler.

Her husband Robert and a daughter Judith Ann Scheppler, preceded her in death.  May they rest in peace.
