DAVENPORT — Eastern Iowa Grassroots, a non-partisan, non-denominational group supporting Christian moral values in government, is hosting a 2010 Eastern Iowa Legislative Sendoff on Jan. 7 from 7-8:30 p.m. at American Legion Post 26, 702 W. 35th St. in Davenport. Participants will help remind their local legislators that citizens are constitutionally entitled to the right to vote on the definition of marriage.
Churches, church leaders and all Christians in the Iowa Quad Cities are encouraged to re-engage in the political process. They will pray together for continuation of the blessings that Iowans enjoy from God, the supreme being referred to in the preamble of Iowa’s State Constitution.
