Notre Dame Elementary fifth-grade student Grant Rheinschmidt was selected to participate in the 23rd Opus Honor Choir Festival. He was chosen from more than 3,200 students who were nominated by their directors for one of the 720 positions in the Opus Honor Choirs. Grant came to before-school practices with teacher Wendy Zick to rehearse the music and record an audition tape for the choir. The choir performs annually at the C.Y. Stephens Auditorium in the Iowa State Center in Ames.
