Tracy Older, Becca Kokjohn and Nate Menke audition for “Stardust,” Holy Trinity’s Dinner Theatre production.

The Holy Trinity drama department has announced that “Stardust” by Walter Kerr will be the featured play at this fall’s Holy Trinity Dinner Theatre, presented on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8, at McAleer Hall in Fort Madison. The comedy follows the adventures of a group of theater students preparing for a production featuring a guest appearance by a Broadway actress.

According to director Robert Rippenkroeger, a veteran of 35 plays at Holy Trinity and (formerly) Aquinas High, this year shows will be performed by a talented cast, which includes seniors Jacob Hanenberger, Tracy Older and Tom Rippenkroeger, as well as a number of experienced actors from the junior and sophomore classes. Stage veterans from the junior class include Kaitlyn Taylor, Celissia Poppe, Theresa McKinley, Darian Auge and Claire Lewis.

Sophomores with experience from last year’s production of “Hit and Misdemeanor” are Kelli Steffensmeier, Haley Wellman, Nate Menke, Becca Kokjohn, Danielle Watznauer and Alex Stewart.  Newcomers from the junior, sophomore and freshman talent pool include Brent Holtkamp, Alicia Schalla, Noel Roberts, Marcie Cutler, Angeline Powers, Sierra Roark, Sara Abolt, Brittany Watznauer, Jacquelyn Knustrom Lucas Peitz, Sarah Kunch and Amanda Welding.

Two months of preparation will begin as rehearsals get underway on Sept. 8.

Both evenings’ entertainment will be preceded by a complete dinner, prepared by the parish center kitchen staff and served by the cast.

Holy Trinity says its Dinner Theatre ‘09 will make a great addition to your fall schedule. Contact the school in October for ticket information.
