Regina Junior/Senior High School in Iowa City has been awarded the Red Quill Award by ACT’s Midwest regional office for the 2008-2009 school year. The award recognizes 18 public or private schools from ACT’s nine-state Midwest region annually.

The Red Quill Award was developed in 2006 “to honor educational professionals who recognize the need for diligent analysis of data and a willingness to develop and enhance curriculum and instruction based on learning community needs,” according to ACT.

Regina is one of two Iowa schools to receive the award this year.

“Congratulations to the faculty, staff, administration, students, parents and community that all played a role in earning Regina this distinction,” said Glenn Plummer, director of student services at the junior/senior high school.
