Regina High gets AP honor

IOWA CITY — Regina Junior/Senior High School has received the 2008-09 Siemens Foundation award for Advanced Placement for excellence in math and science. 

Siemens Foundation chooses one high school per state for the school’s leadership in AP participation and performance. Schools receive a $1,000 grant to support math and science education.

Regina offers AP History, AP Calculus AB and BC, AP English Literature, AP English Language and AP Biology. In addition, Regina has an online academy that supports AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP Government, AP Psychology, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science and AP Statistics. 

Regina has been ranked in the top three for the University of Iowa Belin Blank AP Index for the past several years. Regina is ranked number one for the 2008 AP Index.
