Services for 3- to 5-year-olds at John F. Kennedy Catholic School continue to grow. When started in 1985, JFK’s Guardian Angel Preschool focused primarily on social skills. Today, it has extensive curricular programs in reading, math, science and religion, in addition to social skills.

Meeting the Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards, JFK is a partner with the Davenport Community School District and is able to offer 4-year-old preschool for free. JFK also offers tuition-based preschool programs for 3- and 5-year olds. Open registration begins Feb. 26 for preschool programming, and waiting lists are becoming common.

In fall, JFK expanded its services to offer full-day educational and child-care services for 3- to 5-year olds. Priced at $110 per week for parishioners of Our Lady of Victory in Davenport and $130 per week for other families in 2009-2010, these services help the many families seeking quality, faith-based child care for their children.

This summer, JFK will expand its services once again. Full-day, summer-only child-care services will be offered to parishioners for $125 per week and $145 for other families. Vacation Bible School is also available from June 15-19.

With these expanded services, Our Lady of Victory and John F. Kennedy Catholic School have increased their opportunities to assist parents in the Catholic education and upbringing of children.
