Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred E. Roederer, 89, a resident of Davenport will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 417 Main St., downtown Davenport.

Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at the National Cemetery Rock Island Arsenal. If you would like to join the procession to the cemetery please be at the funeral home Monday by 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be Friday from 3-6 p.m. at the Halligan – McCabe – DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., downtown Davenport.

Mildred E. Angell was born in Hiteman, Iowa. She moved to Davenport and taught at Monroe Elementary. She married Al Roederer on July 29, 1950 at St. Mary’s in Davenport; they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Memorials can be made to the church or to Crest Health Care Center for the future purchase of a piece of rehabilitation equipment.

She is survived by her husband Al, a sister Evelyn Remy, Knoxville, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.
