Kathy McKillip teaches the preschool program in Fort Madison. She has taken Creative Curriculum classes and has been implementing that in her classroom. She has been expanding her math centers based on the suggestions from Creative Curriculum.

With funds from T.A.P.S. (Teacher and Parent Support) the preschool classroom was able to purchase a tabletop light box, which is used as a science center.

The light box can be used with clear, colored shapes for sorting and patterns, with mirrors to see reflections, to see how colors blend and to see the light through X-rays. The students have enjoyed learning and experimenting with the new science center.

Holy Trinity Preschool still has afternoon preschool availability for 3 and 4 year-olds.
