Oskaloosa Knights give funds

OSKALOOSA – Representatives from Imagine the Possibilities, Christian Opportunity Center, Special Olympics and First Resources – Children at Home met with Knights of Columbus Council 4108 on Jan. 8 to receive checks totaling $3,784.50.
The money was raised when 48 Knights volunteered during the KC-sponsored “Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities” in August. All money collected goes to organizations serving people with intellectual disabilities, said Robert Oberhauser, campaign chairman.
Over the last 10 years, donors have allowed the council to award more than $35,000. Ninety percent of donations are returned to the Oskaloosa community, and 10 percent is awarded to the Iowa Special Olympics.
