BETTENDORF — Recitation of the rosary, meditation, prayer and singing were part of this year’s Roe v. Wade candlelight vigil held Jan. 22 at the Women’s Choice Center.
The pro-life center held the event to remember the 40th anniversary of the legalization of abortion. More than 100 people attended the evening’s events.
Father Jerry Logan, associate pastor at St. Pius X Parish in Rock Island, Ill., and Father Steve Loftus, pastor of Sacred Heart and St. Mary parishes in Rock Island, led the rosary.
Following the rosary, Fr. Logan led a meditation, music was provided by David Meumann, and then people had time for silent prayer and testimonials.
