Quad Cities Interfaith (QCI) will host its annual banquet, Bridging Our Communities, Oct. 26 at Hickory Creek Event Center, 3504 Hickory Grove Road, Davenport. The evening begins with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a program at 6 p.m.
QCI advocates for housing and immigration justice, including the successful Rent Abatement Ordinance and workshops with QCAIR to support immigrant and refugee families. The organization also promotes a Community ID initiative to help vulnerable populations access identification.
Reverend Dr. Dwight L. Ford, CEO of Project NOW and founder of Grace City Church, will deliver the keynote address.
The Marvin Mottet Leadership Award will honor Rabbi Emeritus Henry Karp, who served for 32 years at Temple Emmanuel in Davenport. He is also a co-founder of One Human Family QCA and taught at St. Ambrose University in Davenport.
