Being welcomed
To the Editor:
Covering for the pastor who was away from his parish, I was getting vested for the community celebration of the vigil Mass. Of the many folks who greeted and introduced themselves, Colin Fye came into the sacristy to introduce himself and to inquire of my name, where I was living and, I guess, who I was.
Never ever doubt, good readers, that making the stranger or the guest, even if he may be the visiting priest-presider for the parish family, feel welcomed, makes for all the difference in the praise and the worship of God in the Eucharist all the more meaningful.
