Upper elementary and secondary educators are invited to attend a free two-day, professional workshop on teaching the Holocaust, understanding antisemitism and integrating media literature and literature-based instruction. The first day will take place at Beit Shalom in Davenport, and the second day will take place at Danville Station Museum where the new World War II authentic rail car and exhibits are on display. Iowa now mandates Holocaust education in its classrooms under Iowa Code House File 2545. Educators from the Illinois Quad Cities are also welcome to attend. Stipends are $62.50 per day for educators, and free educational materials and resources will be provided. Register at https://tinyurl.com/EchoesDanDav. If you are not an educator but would like to attend, or if you have any questions, please contact Allan Ross at aross@jfqc.org or 309 793-1300.
