Time to close Emma Goldman
To the Editor:
There has been great news in the pro-life movement. Planned Parenthood has only two clinics left in Iowa. Unfortunately, the only clinic left in Iowa that performs abortions is the Emma Goldman Clinic in Iowa City. It’s time; the reality is that it’s past time that we increase our prayer, fasting and witness to close that clinic, a place where death takes place. Sadly, if it were a puppy mill killing puppies it would have been closed yesterday.
People should be as outraged that a clinic in Iowa City is killing unborn children and should demand the closing of the Emma Goldman Clinic.
We have a great opportunity to say a resounding YES to life through our prayers, fasting and witness. If every Catholic in our diocese would pray a daily rosary for the intention of closing Emma Goldman, through our prayers we will close it. If every Catholic in our diocese would fast in some manner from your favorite food or social media or gossiping, through our fasting we will close it.
Please join us on Monday afternoon and/or Thursday morning as we pray and witness in front of the Emma Goldman Clinic. If you can’t join us in person, please join us in prayer wherever you are on those days. Through our witness, we will close it.
